Greg’s Bio:
I was fortunate to attend all of my HS years at FAHS, staring in Sept 1966 as a sophomore, and graduating in June of 1969.
While averaging almost 15 points per game as a senior during the regular season, my 2 strengths were on defense, as well as rebounding on both ends of the court. I don’t know the numbers, but I’m pretty sure I was one of the top rebounders and shot blockers on my team, if not in the Blue Division.
My best game scoring -wise was 24 pts vs Munich in 1969; we scored 112 pts that game, which is exceptional for a 32-minute HS game.
One good memory was blocking 3 shots in succession in the span of approximately 5 seconds against Nurenberg my senior year.
I was an All-Blue Division player and All-Blue Division Tournament Team pick my senior year.
Coach Mel Leuthmers was my JV coach my sophomore year, and Coach Ausra was my coach on varsity my junior and senior year.
Our team was close-knit; I feel a large part of our success was we communicated well amongst ourselves. There was great camaraderie on the 1968-69 team.
After graduating in 1969, I attended Michigan State University, before starting a career over 35 years with General Motors at the Milford Proving Ground in various assignments of vehicle engineering research, testing and development.
I am the proud senior member of the Brown Family: Husband, father, brother, uncle, and Granddad. My interests include touring, hiking, photography, reading, and gourmet cooking.
